Easter 2010

We started our Easter festivities by dyeing eggs with our good friends Keri, Joe, Cindy and Laura. Last year we dyed eggs when we were in the Keys with Keri and Joe and thought it was a great tradition to continue! Keri and Joe welcomed their daughter Katherine into the world earlier this year and we were just so happy that she could be part of all the fun!

Aunt Keri and Uncle Joe have a great backyard that Johnathan loved running around on!

Johnathan teaching Yaya Cindy all about Elmo!

Johnathan was a bit rough with the eggs and the dye, but somehow we didn't break one egg!

I think Johnathan was telling Katherine all about the Easter bunny!

Look at those eggs! Love this photo!

This was an intense game of Peek-A-Boo . . . Laura is so much fun!!

Easter morning we had breakfast with the Sponseller and Meerpohl families. We went to this great breakfast place that was new to us. Johnathan got special pancakes with powdered sugar that he just loved!

Keeping Johnathan happy and entertained is a full time, two person job!

We came back home and while Johnathan was napping the Easter bunny came and hid his basket and all the eggs. Here's Johnathan waking up and going on the egg hunt.

Since we were just back from Disney, his basket was Mickey Mouse!

He loved finding the eggs!

And wanted me to open them right away! He was eating the jelly beans inside by the handful!

And what's more fun than dumping out all the eggs that you just put in the basket and starting again??? :-)

All his goodies! Johnathan has gotten really great at saying "heppese" or "help please" when he needs help. He was asking me to open the egg for more goodies! Smart little boy!!

Later that night we went back over to Bob and Berns for dinner. The Easter Bunny dropped of little parachute men to play with there so we went outside to figure them out.

Johnathan's turn . . .

A few days later Auntie Kris stopped by to give Johnathan some goodies. She certainly knows the way to his heart because she got him all Elmo things. He was SO happy!!

Here they are winking at each other!

And apparently Auntie Kris needed some cleaning up because here's John vacuuming her!

Great Grandma Doris gave John "the real story of Easter" talking bunny and he loved listening to it . . . and he wanted to share with Auntie Kris . . .

It is a very nice story and it's an adorable little toy, but the voice and the music are quite funny . . . and I just love the look on Kris's face here!

We are still on a sugar high from all the treats left over from Easter!
