It all started Saturday morning at the beach where our friends met up with us. One of Johnathan's favorite people in the world was there, Emma. How I love to see Johnathan play with Emma! They get a long so well!
Mama, I got some sand in my hair!!

Digging away . . .

Then playing in the waves . . . so much fun!

Can you tell they were excited!?

Here Johnathan, you can hold my hand! :-)

Seriously, a great morning! Hopefully we get to do that more often.
Then back home to nap and get ready to turn right around and head out to a birthday celebration for me!
Before we left, Johnathan wanted to scoot around on his four-wheeler . . .
Then on Sunday afternoon we were lucky enough to go to an Elmo theme birthday party for our friend Samantha. This was such a blast! Seeing all of my friends from high school, now most of us with kids of our own, was great! I feel so lucky to still be friends with so many people from "back then"!
Johnathan dressed up in all of his Elmo gear to be festive for the party, he was even wearing Elmo socks! And when we first got there, he made a funky Elmo necklace . . . Elmo, Elmo, Elmo!!!
Then, the most exciting part!!! Elmo showed up!!! He sunk a basket then came over to play with the kids!

Johnathan ran right up to give him a high-five! While some of the kids were a little cautious, Johnathan loved it! He wasn't scared at all, which I thought was kinda cool! :-)

Then we got a group shop of everyone! Elmo kinda snuck in the back so none of the kids would get upset. I can't believe we got everyone in!

It was time for cupcakes next and Sammy's Mama, Lindsey, really went all out and made Elmo cup cakes. They were yummy with really, really red icing. Perfect! Johnathan loved it!

And then he got an Icee treat to cool off. He was in sugar heaven!!

We got back home and turned right around for another birthday celebration for me. By the end of the weekend we were all pooped! Johnathan was really a trooper through it all, but just couldn't even make it to his bedroom. He was completely out! And if this doesn't say "great weekend" I don't know what does! We had a blast!
