Yesterday was Johnathan's 4 month check-up. Jeff went with us, thankfully, for the appointment. We were called in and told to bring Johnathan in nothing but his diaper to the scale (normal protocol) . . . then the nurse said "Wow, he is BIG for 4 months, and heavy too!" with a smile . . . . so the stats on our little guy are . . . . drum roll please . . .
17 lbs 3 oz
26 inches long
That means that Johanthan put on 2 lbs and 1 inch in the last 4 weeks. Then the nurse told me that "normal" babies (never met a normal baby in my life, they are all special, just saying) are 20 lbs and 30 inches at one year old. So I guess, and it doesn't come as a shock, we have a big baby on our hands.
The doctor said he was doing very well in every other aspect. Then he had to have the second set of shots. Oh I hate the way he screams for those, it's just horrible. But my sweet Johnathan was back to his normal self in just a few minutes.
And today, he is sleeping in! :-)

Well, you should have told the nurse that JT is not a "normal" baby - he is EXTRAORDINARY!
so the nurse says a normal baby weighs 20 lbs at one year...ha...sammy weighs at least 20 lbs now. (at six months) i'll have to let you know how much at her six month check up next week. hehehehe. glad to hear that he got through those awful vaccines. he's such a trooper! happy four months little JT!
