Started the 3rd off with a fun dinner out with good friends. The kids kinda got loud, the beers were flowing, everyone laughed a lot . . . if you ask me it was an awesome time out!
Then we loaded everyone up to tailgate while we waited for the fireworks.
Then we got the kids together for some fun sparklers!
Poor baby Joseph wasn't happy here :(
Shannon was safe with Daddy!
Pretty soon the sun started to set, there was a dance party in the minivan, whoop whoop!
Then the fireworks started! We were SOOO close, like less than 50 feet away, so they were LOUD and up close!
Shannon looked a little freaked out, but she was in awe the whole time!
John loved it too but wanted to hold his ears whenever he heard a BOOM!
The night was such a fun time. Something we definitely want to do again next year!!
Then it was the actual 4th! We started the very hot day with watching the parade!
Shannon was HOT!!!
Later that night we made the trek to the beach as we have in the past. It was a very fun night!
Doncha just love how neither kid is looking at me?!
Jeff had the fun idea to bring light up bracelets! What a hit!! :)
The next day we didn't get out of pajamas til after nap time! It just the lovely lazy relaxing day that we needed!
And then my little boy who would only be three for a few more days and I had a nice little ice cream date!
